5 More Weeks!

We are down to our last 5 weeks in Singapore! Next week we move to a serviced apartment since it takes 2 months for our furniture to ship back to the US. Candy and Ozzy are already back and staying with my Aunt and Uncle. We will fly to San Francisco on July 1st. There is a direct flight now that is 15.5 hours so it will be nice not to have a layover anywhere. We'll stay there a week to visit with Jimmy's family and then we'll head to Cincinnati for 2 weeks before heading to Deland, FL which is where we are moving. Deland is about 45 minutes north of Orlando so we are hoping for lots of visitors who want to go to Disney World!

We stopped by Merlion Park today to get some Singapore pictures with Nolan before we leave.

Another stamp in Nolan's passport

Since we can easily get to Johor Bahru, Malaysia from Singapore I decided to take Nolan over for a few hours so he could get another stamp in his passport. We took a cab up to the immigration checkpoint in Singapore and then took a bus across the bridge to Malaysia where we went through immigration again in Johor Bahru. We just walked around a few malls that were right there. I stopped to get a crepe and the girls were gushing over how cute he was. He's now 3 months old and has been in 3 countries (Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia)!

Below are some pictures from his 3 month birthday and swimming in our condo pool.

Mother's Day weekend

I really enjoyed my first Mother's Day weekend. We went to a cookout at a friend's where Nolan went for his first swim- he really likes the water!

On Mother's Day we went to Botanic Gardens where I was able to get some chocolate chip pancakes I really like. They were also giving free cupcakes to all the moms which was a special treat. After breakfast, we walked around the Gardens for awhile - Nolan loves looking around at everything but its so hot we can't stay out for too long.

Nolan's first trip

We decided to go to Taipei so Nolan could meet his Aunt Tiffany. Nolan did great on the flight and was excited to go to dinner with Aunt Tiffany when we landed.

We walked Nolan through a local market on Saturday and spent time at Tiffany's.

On Sunday we had a party so Jimmy's family friends could meet Nolan. We were so touched by how many people attended.

Before we left on Monday, we took Nolan to a temple so he could be blessed. We had a great weekend and were glad we were able to introduce Nolan to more of his family!

Full Moon Party

As part of Chinese tradition, infants have a celebration called a Full Moon party on their 1 month birthday. There are several Chinese traditions including confinement for the mother, shaving the infants hair etc but we decided just to do the celebration.  We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant that had a great view of Singapore with my parents, our friends and Jimmy's co-workers. We were so glad so many people were able to come celebrate Nolan's 1 month birthday with us!!
