Welcome Nolan Nianzu Yeh!!!

Our baby was due on March 12 but on February 16 I was pretty sure my water broke in the morning.  I had a doctor appointment that day so I waited until then to confirm with the doctor that it was my water breaking.  Sure enough, she confirmed it and sent me straight to the hospital to be induced.  At 7:13pm Singapore time, we welcomed Nolan Nianzu Yeh to our family weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.  Even though he was 3.5 weeks early, he is healthy and we are so in love with our baby boy!!

Family time and Baby Shower

My parents got to Singapore at the end of January to make sure they would be here when Yeh baby arrives.  Unfortunately, in the first 12 hours of being here, it was raining and my dad fell and fractured his arm.  It didn't require surgery but he will be in a sling for about 6 weeks.

The day after they arrived we went to Chinatown for lunch and walked around for a bit afterwards. Jimmy kept prolonging our outing and I was getting really mad at him for keeping his 8 months pregnant wife and injured father in law out in the heat so long.  He said he had one more thing to pick up and walked us through a mall and then we got to a hotel and I was pretty livid at this point.  I felt like a total idiot when I realized he was leading us to my surprise baby shower!  The girls had been planning it for awhile and I had absolutely no clue.  We had a really nice afternoon tea and played a few games, including pin the dummy on the baby (in the UK, they call pacifiers dummies).  It was such a lovely afternoon and a really nice surprise!

My parents were still able to go on the cruise they had booked for a week after their arrival which was good because Jimmy's cousins came to visit over Chinese New Year and we would have had trouble fitting everyone in the condo at the same time.  When Jimmy's cousins arrived we celebrated with hot pot which was delicious!  They spent a day at Legoland in Malaysia but I wasn't up to spending a whole day out so stayed at home.  We had lunch at Level33 which has a great view of Marina Bay Sands. Afterwards we walked around Gardens by the Bay. That night we went to the Night Safari which I've been wanting to check out since we moved here.  A perk of being pregnant was that we got to go to the front of the tram line instead of waiting!  We spent the next day just relaxing before they left.  It was great having family come visit!

My parents returned on Sunday from their cruise and now we're just waiting for Yeh baby to arrive!
